Please provide a fully detailed and itemised budget for your proposed installation/activation. Be sure to include all costings related to the successful delivery of your project, including infrastructure, labour, installation and dismantle.
Please note, your budget, proposed sponsorship amounts, and requested investment from Destination NSW must result in a zero net balance for your application to be successfully submitted.
To assist in meeting the costs of delivering your proposed work, Destination NSW will consider proposals based on one of four funding models. Please identify which funding model your proposal fits within below.*
All third party funding or sponsorship must be approved by Destination NSW prior to engagement noting Destination NSW has Vivid Partners which obtain sponsorship category exclusivity and well as other rights.
In line with your proposed funding model, please provide a breakdown of the funding
Artists should note that Vivid Sydney will independently pay for costs for high risk or compliance elements of the project. This includes such things as:
** Build/Support labour and Transport/Freight/Fuel Costs should be estimated to the best of the artists ability for all work in the studio/factory build process, the transfer of the work to and from Sydney, the bump in, caring for installation during the Festival and bump out. Vivid Sydney can negotiate the supply of some aspects of this and will deduct such costs from the artists’ budget by negotiation should this be deemed mutually beneficial and where agreed.
Engineering (Design Certification & Install Certification)
Electrical Compliance pre-installation and throughout the event
Rigging equipment and services not permanently affixed to the work. Rigging connection points built into the work are considered part of the artists materials and consumables
*** Costs of Insurances required should be estimated to the best of the artists’ ability for all work to realise the installation. Vivid Sydney can offer artists the opportunity to buy into group insurance policies, should they not have such in place already. Any costs associated for group insurance inclusion will be deducted from the artists’ budget by negotiation, and where agreed.
